NIP-44 support added to nostr-php-nwc
Although it does not seem to be officially in the NIP-47 specification, I feel like NIP-44 is way better encryption than NIP-04, so I just added NIP-44 (v2) support to the Nostr-PHP NWC library.

Nostr-PHP is a PHP Helper library for Nostr, which already supported several NIPs but there was no support yet for Nostr Wallet Connect (NIP-47).
The past weeks I have implemented Nostr Wallet Connect during the NWC Hackathon Grant (June 23rd-July 7th 2025)
The library is feature complete and supports all commands defined in NIP-47 and even supports notifications. It's possible to use the default (but deprecated) NIP-04 encryption or the better NIP-44 encryption if the Nostr Wallet Connect provider supports it.
To showcase the project, I created a Nostr PHP Boltcard Server which allows you to self-host a boltcard server and connect it to your Lightning Wallet using Nostr Wallet Connect.
The maker has not added a roadmap or FAQ yet.
