Our trust in DJ's has been broken, and we will make them obsolete!* ;) ___ Update: modularizing the Jukebox Bot Real progress on making the bot modular. During this transition, our live-session stream now points to Owncast instead of Twitch, while our Icecast audio-only stream is being used as a dedicated testbed for the new architecture. We're actively building out pluggable modules: Wavlake integration, V4V (value-for-value) payment routing to artists, and a properly licensed local music library. More soon. ___
Here is a description of what we are building right now.
Noderunners Radio is an interactive radiostation. Use the Jukebox Bot to add music to the queue. (We have decided to spinoff the Jukebox Bot. It deserves its own project pages, click the link above to read more about it)
What we achieved:
- We are the first Bitcoin powered radio station.
- Usee the Jukebox Bot to add music to the queue.
- Start your own Jukebox by connecting to ours or download the FOSS from our Github
- Tidbyt applet showing current track is completed (see below)
- Obsoleted DJ's and taking the power back to the people, be it online, parties or three channel silent disco's
We are Working on:
- Value for value using nostr to coordinate and lightning to send funds to original artists
Our goals:
- Transmit over FM/AM and silently append the state of the Bitcoin Network
Tune in via our zap.stream or radio.noderunners.org. You can find the unique basic web-interface for the Lightning Jukebox Bot of Noderunners Radio here. Additionally, you can listen to the Radio, and use the bot via our Telegram group here.
Further plans
- Getting some dedicated hardware for streaming the Radio
- Adding some functionality whereby folks can show stuff on the stream in exchange for some sats
A friendly neighborhood Noderunner created an applet for the Tidbyt so you can see the current track playing on Noderunners Radio. Find it, and a preview of it, here.

We are expanding to support live music and artists in another project called Sesh.

To stay up to date, you may follow @noderunnersFM on Twitter & NOSTR & stacker.news.
We will strive to stay transparent on how we spend your donated sats. You worked hard for them, and we feel it is important to give you some insight in how we allocate them to further the project. Do know that we must keep team-member privacy in mind. The administration is not quite ready yet, but once it is, we will update this page with some statistics.
*We still like some DJ's don't worry. *Because we do not want ads, we are reliant on your support.
